Born in Pittsburgh, PA; raised in Duluth, GA.
Cam and his wife, Allie, have three kids: one son, Callen, and two daughters, Chloe and Caia.
His late father, Craig “Ironhead” Heyward, played fullback in the NFL for 11 years, including for the Steelers; Ironhead passed away from a brain tumor in 2006 after a battle with bone cancer.
Second oldest of three brothers – Craig Jr., Corey, and Connor.
Especially close with Connor, who is a tight end on the Steelers.
Cam, Allie, and the kids have two dogs: Cooper (golden doodle) and Louie (sheepadoodle).
Cam is a huge movie buff, specifically a fan of Marvel movies.
He plans to become a broadcaster when he retires; he’s already involved in the space between his podcast and NFL Network appearances.
Other interests include golf, travel, sports (basketball especially), and music.
Diagnosed with severe asthma as a child, which contributed to starting his own foundation helping kids with illnesses and injuries.

At the core of Cam’s heart are kids, the focus of his foundation.
He knows that every kid needs to have one person who is in their corner, rooting for them at all times.
The foundation’s four pillars: childhood hunger, fighting cancer, childhood literacy, and supporting teachers and students.

Cam’s Kindness Week took place for a second straight year in the fall of 2023, a five-day event in the Pittsburgh community.
Craig’s Closet, named after his dad, provides high school boys in the Pittsburgh area with free dress clothes for interviews, internships, banquets, and more.
Cam won the prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2023 for his work with his foundation.
