Kyle McAlarney leads Priority Sports’ Player Development efforts, bringing the same discipline, competitiveness, and passion that defined his own playing career into every aspect of his work with athletes. A standout guard at the University of Notre Dame from 2005–2009, Kyle was known for his toughness, basketball IQ, and relentless work ethic. During his collegiate career, he earned First Team All-Big East honors in 2008 and set the program record for most three-pointers made in a single season, cementing his legacy as one of Notre Dame’s premier guards.
Following college, Kyle went on to enjoy a nine-year professional career competing at a high level in the United States and Europe. He achieved significant success overseas, including becoming the all-time leading scorer for Orléans Loiret Basket in Orléans, France, and earning three LNB All-Star selections. Competing across multiple leagues and cultures, Kyle developed a global perspective on player development and performance, gaining firsthand insight into what it takes to sustain success over the course of a professional career.
Kyle’s identity as a player was shaped by a rigorous approach to training and an insatiable love for the game—qualities that now define his approach to developing athletes. His passion for coaching began early; he has worked with players since the age of 16, and what started as a labor of love ultimately became his calling. After his playing career, Kyle served as a high school coach and athletic director, further refining his leadership skills and deepening his commitment to athlete development both on and off the court.
Before his collegiate and professional success, Kyle was already one of the most accomplished scorers in New York State high school basketball history, finishing as the sixth all-time leading scorer statewide. That lifelong journey through the game allows him to relate authentically to athletes at every stage of their development.
At Priority Sports, Kyle combines his elite playing résumé, coaching background, and deep understanding of the athlete experience to help players maximize their potential. He prides himself on building authentic relationships, fostering accountability, and preparing athletes not only for high-level competition, but for long-term success in basketball and in life.
