Larry started the Athletes vs. Chron’s & Colitis charity to help connect young people afflicted with Crohn’s and Colitis to athletes for inspiration and mentorship.
Supported local businesses in Ohio during the global pandemic, wearing gear from various local businesses — ranging from restaurants to bike shops and everything in-between — and then auctioned off game worn jerseys, shoes, and other memorabilia after the game to raise money for said businesses.
During time in New Orleans, teamed up with New Orleans public schools to donate teachers necessary supplies during the school year.
During the 2023-24 academic year, Larry partnered with the New Orleans Pelicans and Second Harvest Food Bank of South Louisiana on the Zero Hunger Challenge, working with local high school students to put together a detailed proposal to help end food insecurity in the area. Larry awarded $75,000 in scholarships to students of the top two schools and put plans in action to help fight hunger in New Orleans.
