The Mavericks selected Nebraska power forward Isaiah Roby with the 45th pick in the NBA draft after trading the 37th pick to the Pistons. They then reportedly signed him to a four-year, $6.7 million deal in August. His $1.5 million cap hit in year one will be the largest salary a player selected in the 2nd round of the draft out of college has earned in their first year in the NBA.
