There is some uncertainty about Tyler Lydon’s NBA future.

The Elizaville native is an impending free agent this summer after spending two years with the Denver Nuggets. But Lydon's hometown always has been a sanctuary and the game of basketball, the business aspect aside, has been his respite.

So while the talents of the former first-round pick will be shopped to other NBA teams by his agent, his career path still to be determined, Lydon will be back in his old Pine Plains stomping grounds hosting a youth basketball camp for a second straight year.

“The summer will give him a break from that and he can focus on being home and teaching the kids,” said Justin Cooper, a friend and former high school teammate. “He loves being back home and giving back, and it’ll be a nice break from the business of the NBA.”
