Brett Hundley had a tremendous learning experience last year, playing in ten games in Aaron Rodgers absence. Despite going 3-6, he said one of the positives is the ability to study his own game film this offseason.

"To be able to take that big leap, get some experience under my belt, and just feel comfortable. I feel comfortable out there," Packers quarterback Brett Hundley said.

"You can say things slowed down until you actually get the experience. Now you can start saying you ok I understand this, I understand why we read it like this. So things are starting to slow down even a lot more."

"For him it's just about finding that calm in the pocket and having things come to his mind quickly. And that's just what being a more experienced player allows you to do," Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said.

With Rodgers likely seeing little playing time this preseason, it'll be a battle between Hundley and DeShone Kizer for the backup job.

"You want to show you're the best. I'm trying to be the best in the league, not just on the team or in our division or whatever," Hundley said. "I'm trying to be the best in the league. So the thought is not really to prove people wrong, but just to show that you can do it, you know what I'm saying. It's just knowing, I know I can do it. And just getting out there and doing it is the thing and that's what builds confidence with quarterbacks."

This season is one of the most important for Hundley, since he's entering his contract year, his fourth in the league.

"For me, I'm just going into it giving it all I've got and that's sort of the way I want to play this game. I don't want to look at the fourth year or the contract year as a bigger year than most," Hundley said.

"As long as I'm worrying about my present and my now and giving it all I've got every opportunity I can, everything else will take care of itself."
